Recipe: Sate Kambing
Ingredients:
- 500g of lamb meat, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the chopped onion, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric powder, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
2. Add the cubed lamb meat to the marinade and mix well to coat the meat evenly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
3. Preheat the grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
4. Thread the marinated lamb meat onto the soaked bamboo skewers, dividing the meat evenly among the skewers.
5. Grill the sate kambing skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness and has a nice charred exterior.
6. Serve the sate kambing hot with steamed rice, peanut sauce, and slices of cucumber and tomato on the side.
Enjoy your delicious sate kambing!
