Make Shepherd's Pie

Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:

- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 large carrots, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 lb. chopped meat (ground beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In a large pot, bring potatoes and carrots to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped meat and cook until browned.

4. Add cooked potatoes and carrots to the skillet. Stir in chicken broth, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

5. Transfer mixture to a 9x13 baking dish.

6. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.

7. Serve hot. Enjoy!
