Make Shepherd's Pie



Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:

- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the onion and ground beef until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 8 minutes.

3. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine.

4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Continue to whisk until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

5. Add the sauce to the skillet with the beef and rice and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Transfer the beef and rice mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

7. Place the diced potatoes on top of the beef and rice mixture.

8. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.

9. Serve hot. Enjoy!
