Make Spaghetti alla Carbonara
Spaghetti alla Carbonara
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 large eggs
- 4 ounces guanciale, diced
- 4 ounces Pecorino Romano cheese, freshly grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the spaghetti. Cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, Pecorino Romano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
3. In a large skillet, cook the guanciale over medium heat until it is crisp and golden brown, about 8 minutes.
4. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the guanciale. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
5. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the egg mixture. Stir until the eggs are creamy and the spaghetti is coated, about 1 minute.
6. Serve the spaghetti alla carbonara immediately, topped with additional Pecorino Romano, if desired. Enjoy!
