Make Stuffed Potatoes with Sausage
Recipe Name: Stuffed Potatoes with Sausage
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes
- 4 sausages, casing removed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Wash the potatoes and pierce them with a fork. Bake in the oven for about 45-50 minutes until they are tender.
3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
4. Add the sausage meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
5. Stir in the black pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
6. Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh, leaving a thin layer inside the skin.
7. Mash the potato flesh and mix it with the cooked sausage mixture.
8. Stuff the potato skins with the sausage and potato mixture.
9. Place the stuffed potatoes back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until heated through.
10. Serve the stuffed potatoes hot with a dollop of mayonnaise on top. Enjoy!
