Make Sweet and Tangy Chickpea Tuna Sliders
Recipe: Sweet and Tangy Chickpea Tuna Sliders
Ingredients:
- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 can of tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet relish
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Slider buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until slightly chunky.
2. Add the tuna, mayonnaise, sweet relish, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
3. Form the mixture into small patties, about the size of your slider buns.
4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
5. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
6. Toast the slider buns in the skillet until lightly browned.
7. Assemble the sliders by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a chickpea tuna patty, sliced tomatoes, and the top bun.
