Recipe: Tamale de Carne con Salsa Roja

Ingredients:
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup lard or vegetable shortening
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound cooked and shredded beef or pork
- 1 cup red salsa
- Corn husks, soaked in warm water

Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the masa harina, chicken broth, lard or vegetable shortening, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until a smooth dough forms.
2. Take a corn husk and spread a thin layer of the masa dough on it, leaving some space around the edges.
3. Place a spoonful of the cooked and shredded beef or pork in the center of the masa dough.
4. Fold the sides of the corn husk over the filling to enclose it, then fold up the bottom of the husk.
5. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make more tamales.
6. Place the tamales in a steamer and steam for about 1-1.5 hours, or until the masa is cooked through.
7. Serve the tamales hot with a generous drizzle of red salsa on top.
