Make Teriyaki Chicken and Rice

Teriyaki Chicken and Rice

Ingredients:

- 2 cups of cooked white rice
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1 large carrot, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions:

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes.

2. Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes.

4. Add the diced carrot and cook until tender, about 3 minutes.

5. Add the cooked rice and the marinade from the bowl. Stir to combine and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.

6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. Enjoy!
