Barbecued Spare Ribs


-2 lbs. spare ribs

-1 large tomato, diced
-3 cloves garlic, minced
-1/4 cup olive oil
-1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
-2 tablespoons brown sugar
-1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-1 teaspoon dried oregano
-1 teaspoon dried thyme
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. Place the spare ribs in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss to coat the ribs evenly.

4. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the ribs are cooked through.

5. In a small saucepan, heat the diced tomatoes and minced garlic over medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the tomatoes are softened.

6. Remove the ribs from the grill and brush them with the tomato and garlic mixture.

7. Serve the ribs hot with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
