Recipe Name: Tomato Onion Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tbsp flour
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
2. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent.
3. Sprinkle salt over the onions and stir well.
4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot and cook until they start to break down.
5. Pour in the rice and stir to combine with the onion and tomato mixture.
6. Add enough water to cover the rice by about an inch.
7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.
8. In a separate pan, heat the flour over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown.
9. Sprinkle the toasted flour over the cooked rice and mix well.
10. Serve the tomato onion rice hot and enjoy!
