Make Tomato Rice

Recipe Name: Tomato Rice

Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
3. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
4. Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
5. Add the rinsed rice to the pan and stir well to coat the rice with the tomato mixture.
6. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice cook for about 15-20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked through.
7. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
