Make Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) of beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey until it is no longer pink.

3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

4. Add the flour and whisk until combined.

5. Slowly add the chicken broth and milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.

6. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and thyme.

7. Stir in the cooked turkey and beans.

8. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

9. Spread the turkey and bean mixture evenly in the baking dish.

10. Top with the mashed potatoes.

11. Sprinkle with the shredded cheese, if desired.

12. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.

13. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
