Turmeric Rice
Ingredients:
-1 cup of long grain white rice
-1 small onion, diced
-1 teaspoon of salt
-1 teaspoon of turmeric
-1 teaspoon of ground cumin
-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
-2 cups of water
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the rice, salt, turmeric, and cumin. Stir to combine.
4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
6. Fluff with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
