Vanilla Custard
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until combined.
2. Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and strain the custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.
4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the custard to prevent a skin from forming.
5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
