Make Vegetable Rice and Daal
Vegetable Rice and Daal
Ingredients:
-1 cup of uncooked rice
-1/2 cup of daal
-1 potato, diced
-1 teaspoon of cumin
-1 teaspoon of turmeric
-1 teaspoon of garam masala
-1 teaspoon of coriander
-1 teaspoon of chili powder
-1/2 teaspoon of salt
-2 tablespoons of oil
-2 cups of water
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the diced potato and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the cumin, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, chili powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
4. Add the rice and daal and stir to combine.
5. Add the water and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice and daal are cooked through.
7. Serve hot. Enjoy!
