Make 鱼香肉丝 (Yu Xiang Rou Si)
Recipe Name: 鱼香肉丝 (Yu Xiang Rou Si)
Ingredients:
- 200g pork loin, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Set aside.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the pork slices and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.
3. In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed. Stir-fry the garlic until fragrant.
4. Add the bell peppers and carrot slices, and stir-fry for a few minutes until slightly softened.
5. Return the cooked pork to the wok and mix well with the vegetables.
6. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork and vegetables. Stir well to combine and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
7. Season with salt, pepper, and sesame oil to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
